Site Crew Manager – Events

Also known as: Site Construction Events

As a site crew manager you will prepare the equipment and build temporary structures for events. Temporary structures are tents, stages, stands, lighting and electricity. You will manage a team of  temporary structures constructors.

Your day-to-day duties may involve:
• liaising with clients
• managing a team of technicians
• preparing lighting and structures to build
• building temporary structures
• regularly checking health and safety regulations

Temporary structures are used for all types of events. They are used for exhibitors to showcase their products, at music festivals to hold thousands of people and at banquets to shade guests from the weather.

As a site crew manager it’s your responsibility to oversee the design, building and dismantling of a collection of temporary structures, and administer health and safety measures during these procedures. You will allocate tasks to the constructors and monitor the progress and quality while they’re being the built. You will  liaise with clients to ensure the structure is as requested, and the budget is maintained.

It’s important as a crew site manager that you have great communication skills to ensure the structures are secure and safe.
